Culcha Creation, a Berlin-based agency for Afro-diasporic culture, is dedicated to redefining how African culture is viewed in the modern world. In support of this mission, a visual identity was developed that breaks away from clichéd, outdated depictions of Africa, introducing a bold and vibrant visual narrative that aligns with the dynamic, urban energy of Berlin. The design blends sleek contemporary aesthetics with geometric African motifs and a striking color palette, reflecting the diversity of Afro-diasporic culture. The ‘rebranding of Africa’ is essential, as it challenges perceptions and positions African culture not as an outsider, but as a vital, integral part of Berlin’s cultural identity.
