Creative direction and production of the African Food Festival Berlin promotional campaign.
The African Food Festival Berlin is a popular, family-friendly biannual cultural event celebrating African cuisine, music and art. Now in it’s third year of existence, the festival organizers have stepped up their marketing drive and needed a new artistic direction that would deviate from the illustration-based artwork of the previous events.
To introduce an enticing update to the existing graphic theme, a colourful and upbeat photographic campaign was created - representative of both Africa and the host city Berlin. With vibrant backdrops, bright pop-color props, fashion and accessories from South African designers and a bold typographic treatment, the campaign evokes the infectious African joie-de-vivre that can also be felt at the event itself.
